I am a Web Designer and a Webflow Developer who is passionate about using available resources to
develop products that are both Intelligent and Purposeful. Everything is designed which means Design
is much powerful than we could think. I am usually asking questions: lots of relevant questions
because I want to give a tailored product or experience. I always go for Quality over quantity.
Perhaps asking lots of relevant questions stems from or is an extension of wanting to understand the
rudiments of a phenomenon. I have come to realize that understanding the rudiments of a phenomenon
allows me to appreciate the brilliance behind the integration of those units to make the whole. For
instance, the amazing technology behind achieving the performance of a Formula 1 car makes me
appreciate the sport even more or yearning to understand the rudiments of Genesis 1 causes me to be
in awe at the intricate beauty of the Cosmos: allowing me catch a glimpse of the eternal power of
its Maker: YHWH.
One time, I proposed a budget to actually build a Formula 1 circuit in a
club in one of the cities of my home country. Crazy! Someone from the audience said something about
presenting a budget that was more than the entire country’s annual budget ha-ha!
F1 has taught
me something about speed on the race track in that just because someone is ahead does not mean I
cannot enjoy the sweet slipstream and overtake without much effort. My competition is myself.
Quality over quantity is that which I would always go for. One thing I have learnt from Formula 1 is
leverage [which in this case is the slipstream]. Leveraging the experiences of those who are ahead
and becoming a better Designer.
I take a Design Thinking approach to working on
projects. I also focus on User Experience (UX) Strategy and highly regard evangelizing UX so as to
position an environment to be UX matured. I believe that it is important to understand the
users' needs and goals before designing any product because I am not my USERS ha-ha. When this
is so, business goals could be met; but this is not always so as there are quite a number of human
influences to a product's development. It is not a hard-rule I guess.
I do believe that it
is important to share the value of UX Design with any in a team who is not familiar with the value
it brings.
